I think at some point during the drama of me trying to buy the PS4 on two occasions before I got a seller who didn’t flake, I complained about the world just not wanting me to have one. Clearly that hasn’t changed and I have the worst luck ever when it comes to the PS4.
I’ll stop posting about being robbed for now, but I’m just really gutted and need somewhere to vent.
I really hope the insurance stuff is sorted out before November. I have the latest games from two of my favourite franchises preordered that are due out then, but I no longer have anything to play them on.
Sorting out the information for the insurance claim is turning into a bit of a nightmare. I have items bought from three different countries, in three difference currencies. At least most were purchased online so I have invoices for them.
I’m going to do my best to get this week’s Lemongrass page done, but with all the drama I’m not sure I’ll be able to concentrate enough to get it done to the right standard. The thieves just switched my mother’s Macbook Pro on, and we got a notification with the location and and rang the police to tell them. Now we’re waiting for them to check it out and call back, but who knows how long that will take because stolen laptops aren’t exactly high priority I’m sure. We were half tempted to drive down and check it out ourselves, but obviously that would be a stupid thing to do.
I really hope they can recover her computer at least, because they got her back-up drive as well. I don’t hold out much hope for the 3DS and games, because who’s going to want a Japanese console and games? I’m half expecting that they’ll just throw it away.

I’m sorry to hear about your loss :( I hope that you at least don’t encounter to many difficulties in sorting things out with nintendo
Thanks. If nothing else it’ll be great practice for formal Japanese writing, which I haven’t done in far too long.
So far I’ve totalled up my stolen things to nearly £800. This is really heartbreaking. Even if I replace it all, I’ll never get back the hours of time I put into those games, especially the Pokemon ones.
15 games lost, not including the digital downloads :(
I’m also going to have to compose an email in Japanese to Nintendo support explaining the situation and hoping they can block my account or something. It had my credit card attached to my account, so I’ll have to cancel it.
My computer, dolls and figures appear to be safe, pending a closer investigation on my part. My cameras weren’t taken, nor my extra monitor or speakers or any of the boxed games and Blu-rays/DVDs on my shelves.
Sadly they took my PS4, with one of my Attack on Titan Blu-rays still inside it, along with the controller and mains cable. They also (which I’m frankly even more upset about) got my Japanese 3DS, and basically all of my 3DS games and all of my favourite DS ones, including Pokemon games, Ace Attorney games, and hundreds of pounds worth of other games, including Japanese imports.
We got burgled today and a bunch of my stuff got stolen :(
