There is literally so much on this panel that I don’t even like it any more. This is what I wrecked my hands for three weeks for.

We have a new intern on the project and I have to teach him what to do and agh I hate teaching people and I’m really bad at it. I nearly had a panic attack this afternoon. Luckily we had to stop for show and tell before I embarrassed myself.

On the plus side my hands while not perfect are a lot better, and I hope to be able to get a new page up at last.

I stayed an hour late at work today because we had a build due and now I’m even more tired than usual. I have mixed feelings about doing overtime when I’m not being paid in the first place, but I really hate leaving work unfinished and I want to try and feel like I’m doing my bit even if I can’t stay there until eleven like some of them do.

I do really love the work though, even if it’s not quite the area of game development that I’d like to end up in. I’m learning a lot, especially in areas I didn’t expect to have a chance to try (like helping with the particle effects). Despite the lack of pay, I’ve never woken up in the morning and not wanted to go to work, and I don’t watch the clock hoping for the day to end, and I’m very familiar with doing these at the paid jobs I’ve held in the past. It’s stressful at times, but satisfying as well. The only bit I really don’t like is the commute of course, but it’s not enough to make me feel annoyed or bitter about the internship experience.

I’m officially ending on the 18th, but I definitely want to stay on until launch at least. I’m just not sure about the financial side of things if I have to remain as an intern to be able to stay.

Not a page, but I put the hiatus notice up for Lemongrass. Here’s hoping I’m back to drawing again soon :(

I think I’m going to have to put Lemongrass on hiatus for a couple of weeks and then take it down to one page per week because my hands really haven’t recovered enough for me to finish the current page. I do so much computer stuff at work that my hands didn’t really get the chance to rest, even with a day off for the funeral and spending most of today out. It’s very frustrating to have to do this, but I don’t want to/hope I haven’t already caused permanent damage, so I’m going to take a break from drawing for a bit and see if that helps.

I just hope I’ve got enough stuff to watch to get me through a fortnight of not using my hands, because I can’t draw, write, play games, make clothes for my dolls or do any of the things I actually enjoy :(
